Principal’s welcome
Welcome to Calvary Chapel High School!
It is a joy to welcome you to Calvary Chapel High School, where students embark on a formative four-year journey to become Christ-centered young adults who reflect God’s design for their lives. Formed in community and shaped by truth, students grow in faith, character, wisdom, and purpose for the glory of God.
At Calvary, students experience the best of both worlds: diverse academic pathways with advanced and college-prep courses, specialized tracks and certifications, leadership opportunities, and co-curricular activities, all within small, relational classrooms where teachers know them by name. Students are encouraged to explore their interests, ask questions, engage in meaningful discussion, and pursue excellence in every area of study. Beyond the classroom, they can participate in athletics, performing arts, student leadership, service, and other opportunities that allow them to discover and develop their God-given gifts.
We believe education is about more than what students know; it is about who they are becoming. Formation happens through academic rigor, intellectual curiosity, intentional discipleship, leadership development, and a heart to serve others. We want students to think deeply, communicate clearly, wrestle with challenging ideas, and learn to see the world with wisdom, discernment, and a growing understanding of truth.
This commitment also shapes our approach to technology. We prepare students to use technology wisely while protecting the habits that develop deep thinking and genuine learning. Students read real books, annotate by hand, put pencil to paper, engage in face-to-face discussion, and experience the productive struggle essential to growth, while also learning to use digital tools with wisdom and discernment.
Our phone-free school day reflects this same philosophy. In a world filled with distraction, we create space for students to be fully present to better listen, think, learn, create, and engage with the people around them. We want students prepared to navigate a changing world with confidence and discernment.
Over their four years, students are guided to:
- Belong — Rooting their identity in Christ, forming meaningful relationships, and establishing the spiritual, academic, and relational foundations that help them thrive in community.
- Bridge — Connecting faith and learning with growing confidence, exploring their gifts, serving others, and recognizing how God is shaping their worldview and direction.
- Build — Taking ownership of their faith, leadership, and academic growth, developing their God-given abilities, and pursuing meaningful goals with maturity and integrity.
- Beyond — Reflecting on their growth, discerning God’s calling for the next season, and stepping forward with clarity, courage, and a desire to make a redemptive impact in the world.
With a growing understanding of God’s love for them, our desire is for students to know Christ deeply and be equipped to contribute meaningfully to both society and God’s Kingdom. Surrounded by parents, faculty, and staff who know, support, challenge, and encourage them, students have the opportunity to grow into young adults who are grounded in relationship with Christ, intellectually curious, prepared for what comes next, and ready to use their gifts in service to others for the glory of God.
We are honored to walk alongside our CCHS families and excited for all God will do in and through our students.
