Fourth annual Convocation 2026

The fourth annual Convocation was a wonderful experience for every community member. We opened the year with a focus on our purpose. Students from preschool through high school gathered in the main sanctuary to commence the school year on the first Monday of school in August.

We worshiped together, listened to the liturgy of a learner, remembered the story of where we have been and who we are becoming. This time-honored ceremony has become a mark for the start of the next season of growth.

High School Bible teacher, Briley Moreno, shared an artistic visualization of our Evergreen theme with an original painting of the oldest tree in our nation, “Methuselah.” Mr. Moreno summarized the development of the theme and expressed the joy we have as teachers to walk alongside students on this journey. Principal Lindsay White read a meaningful liturgy on learning and growing, with a prayerful tone for God to inspire us to lean on his transforative nature and love.

Our high school acapella ensemble presented the Doxology in song, and lifted our spirits in hope. Calvary Chapel Church Pastor, Char Brodersen, led a benedication while parents surrounded the learning community as a symbol of a covering over the good and Godly work of teachers and learners today.

The class of 2027 lined the interior aisle, and surrounded exiting Preschool and Kindergarten students with high fives and fist bumps. The older brothers and sisters, commenencing their final lap, and ushering the youngest learners into a grand experience, a decade in the making.

What a joy to celebrate together!
